The Challenge

As a global pharmaceutical company’s oncology training group grappled with reduced head count and shifting priorities, its annual sales meetings and POAs remained high priorities. The training portion of these meetings involves many moving parts and third-party providers, requiring significant time, focus, and energy. At a time of substantial change and ambiguity, oncology training leaders believed they could realize tangible benefits by adding an experienced project manager on a contract basis, dedicated to supporting POAs and sales meetings.

The Solution

Based on its success leveraging other iQue Group professionals, the client contracted for a project manager with deep pharmaceutical experience, exceptional skills, and a track record of project success. Since onboarding in December 2022, she has worked closely with training leadership, sales operations, and multiple training vendors to prepare for and support the spring regional sales meetings and fall POA. In addition to keeping these complex, multifaceted projects tracking toward aggressive timelines, the project manager ensures consistency across numerous assets supporting different tumor types, challenges conventional thinking to solve challenges, drives clear communication about status and risks, and recommends ways to streamline processes and gain efficiencies. Her efforts not only contribute to smooth, successful sales training events; they also free up the associate director to focus on innovating the POA from a training perspective.
